Game Over

Building an arcade machine has been an even bigger failure than Rocktobersaurus. I've been crazy busy with work, cycling training, and recovering from injuries so that I can resume cycling training, and I haven't done much work on the arcade machine. In fact, the few times that I did try working on it, I got so fed up with the cabinet, that I didn't even know what to do next.

Rocktobersaurus, SMARTen Up!

I've fucked up. Back-to-school September was a total bust, but Rocktobersaurus was an even bigger bust. There is no album. There isn't even a song. All there is are the memories. (Was that a grammatically correct sentence?) I did some cool stuff during October, but it was totally uneventful and not what I want The Monthly Challenge to be about.

Academic Probation

When I started this blog/project, I had a lot of time to devote to my goals because I wasn't in school, and I didn't really have any super high priority projects at work. This September was a bit different though. School started back up and I worked ~60 hour weeks for the first half of the month. Then I spent the second half of the month recovering from the first half.

Mid-Term Report: FAIL!

If I got one thing out of Alcoholic August, it's that I'm actually much more adventurous in my dining practices. If we were going to a Middle Eastern place, I'd always get the chicken kabob plate. If we were going to an Irish pub, I'd drink Smithwicks.

Drunks are Slackers

So I've been slacking on the whole "blogging" thing. Nothing too exciting to report here...I've been having a new drink every day except for last Wednesday and Thursday when I took sick days. I was thinking about creating a drink called "Cure for the Common Cold" which was half a shot of Jagermesiter layered on top of half of a shot of NyQuil. I didn't have any NyQuil though (thank God) so that didn't happen.

Goodbye, Art Guy July!

Today is the last day of July...it's a bit sad. I feel like I experienced a lot, but still didn't accomplish everything I set out to do. Designing and building websites is hard work - especially when you do it all day and then try to come home and do some more of it. I've had a nasty knot in my neck for the past few days. On Monday, I just came home and passed out. Then on Tuesday, I went out with some friends for some un-artistic yet delicious drinks and dinner at Cobras and Matadors.

The Runyon Run - Failed

I made my way up Mulholland Drive and over to the North entrance of Runyon Canyon to begin one of the hardest runs (if not the hardest) I've ever done. On the way over, I was all business baby, as documented by the photograph below.

DTERMINATION!!!

I began the run down and ran into (get it?) Tokle on the way. He joined me to the bottom, and the further we went, the more I realized how big, long, and steep the hard loop was going to be.
