How do I create a challenge?

If you are logged in, a link on the right side of the page called Create New Challenge Group - click it!

Can I join an existing challenge?

If you are viewing that challenge's home page or any content within that group, then "open challenges" will have a join link along the right side of the page. If you want to see a breakdown of all challenges, including their open/closed status, go to the Groups listing page.

I tried to join an existing challenge, but I still can't post in it!

Some groups are open for membership, but require a moderator to approve you. If it's taking a very long time, try contacting the administrator for that challenge. Other groups will let you become a member immediately and don't require any moderation.

How do I create a post?

Navigate to the group you want to post in. If you are a member of that group, there will be two links on the side of the page: Create Group Page and Create Story. A Group Page is like a wiki page - any member of the challenge may contribute to it or edit it. A Story is like a blog post and only the author of that story may modify it.

How do I insert pictures into my post?

When you are editing a page, you should see a little button which looks like this: Click on that button and a window will popup and give you a few options for inserting images. You can upload images directly to this site, but there is a limit to how many files you can upload and how large they can be. It would be best to upload your images to a site like flickr, picasa, or zooomr and then include it by URL.

How do I insert a video into my post?

Why is there Facebook stuff on this site?

This site is not affiliated with facebook, it just uses facebook connect to help you import your data and see which of your friends have an account already set up on the site. You'll probably begin seeing this on a lot of sites soon.

How do I add "Friends?"

When you view someone's profile, you should be able to "become their friend" and that's pretty much it for now. Hopefully a bit more social networking functionality will be coming shortly.

When I edit my profile, it asks for my location - what is that used for?

Right now, the location field is not used, but there are plans to allow you to form and find groups based upon geographic location.
