The Monthly Challenge

Mandex is my new term for the manly spandex that I will be wearing as I bicycle around Los Angeles. All spandex becomes manly as soon as I put it on, so I don't own any spandex - only mandex. Why will I be cycling around LA? Well, at the end of May, I head up to San Francisco, only to begin a 575 mile bike ride back to Los Angeles as part of AIDS/LifeCycle 8. I've been training a bit, and felt pretty good up until a few weeks ago when I hurt my back.
