Pola-Poem a Day May

this is a pretty straightforward challenge. each day in may i'll be taking a polaroid and then coming up with a little haiku to write on it. the photo can be of anything- what's happening to me that day, who i'm with, something i see that i like, or whatever. the haiku is going to loosely be about the polaroid image- either directly about it, about the reason i took that picture, or about how i'm feeling. if you read a haiku and think it has nothing to do with the image, that'll just be because you're not inside my head.

this should be a great month for this. this month i have to pack up my current apartment, and then move into my new bungalow. my mom, aunt, and cousin are visiting mid-month, and i've taken some vacation to spend time with them.

looks like i'll have to switch to a bigger purse for the month so i can bring my camera everywhere.

exhaustion documented

my mom, aunt, and cousin came to visit this past week... and it was exhausting. lots of driving and running around. now that they're gone i'm spending all of my time packing, moving, and cleaning. my back hurts, but i love the new place. lovely. anywho, here's the update.

new roll! er... square

still chugging along on the pola-poem express. on may 11th i switched to a new block of film. it's no ordinary polaroid 600 film. no, no, this film was giving to me for christmas in 2007 and it was packed in my suitcase that i checked at the manchester airport in NH. seeing as i arrived way early and checked my bag immediately, i assumed my luggage would make it on the plane. alas, manchester demonstrated its vast incompetence when i found out, upon arriving at LAX, that my bags didn't make the transfer because they never ever got on the plane in NH.

inside and/or outside

sometimes i take pictures outside during my day. sometimes i forget about pola-poems and have to take pictures in my apartment. it could be a fun game for you, reader. try to guess when i forgot to take a picture throughout the month.

Pola de Mayo

today i was gushing to jesse about how much i like having a monthly challenge, and now i will tell you the same thing. i feel really accomplished for the month, and it's only the 5th- wait, now it's the 6th. get some help with that hangover headache.

anyway, new pola-poems!

Pola-Poems, 101

i'm already really into this challenge. it's like taking an art class or a photography class and this is my assignment for the month. except i'm the prof, the ta, and the student all at the same time.
