So, I haven't produced any works of art today. But that's not what Art Guy July is about - it's about doing something creative each day. You can't produce a masterpiece in an hour, it takes time to develop and create (not that I will create a masterpiece.) I started one project which will last the duration of the month. I don't have terribly high expectations for it, but the only way to see how it will turn out is to let it complete its course. (Don't worry, it's nothing terribly exciting.)
Other than that, I've been researching art galleries and openings. I found some good lists: visual & performing arts on upcoming, LA Weekly's Calendar of Events, and another site which looks like it could be good, but the site is just unnavigable... Combine those lists with the standard museums (Getty, MOCA, LACMA, etc.) and it seems like there is enough going on in LA in one month to tide the average person over for a few years.
So when I'm not drawing or doodling on my newly assembled table, I'm sure I'll be able to find inspiration somehwere in this city.
